We still know far too little about the next League of Legends champion, Hwei. However, we know that the littlest bit of hint about its release has secretly crept into the PBE, giving us a confirmation that they are coming soon. Let’s take a look at the first teaser for Hwei in League of Legends PBE.
Hwei is an ink mage and uses colors as a source of magic. We don’t know how his kit will work out exactly. However, Rito Games has been saving this champion for the right time where they can build his mechanics exactly as they intend. This is due to the original design, where you will be able to “draw out” things on the Rift in order to cast your abilities.
According to Riot Games, Hwei is a complex champion with an ambitious kit design, making him a highrisk – high reward for players in League of Legends. Right before his introduction in the PBE, Riot Games throws us a small teaser in the League of Legends top lane for Hwei.
The symbol we see in the top lane, looks fairly similar to an infinity symbol and follows the same color pattern as we’ve seen in the initial Hwei teaser. Although a few designs of the champion have leaked already, the three colors are the only thing we really know about him. There are three colors, red-blue and yellow, creating patterns which look like ink.
For what it’s worth, we shouldn’t be expecting Hwei to launch on the League of Legends PBE today, despite this teaser. Riot Games spends a few days dropping teasers about each champion before introducing them to the community. However, we’ll most likely be able to play as him in the next PBE update.
