Zilean, the iconic time mage from League of Legends, is finally making his way to Wild Rift. Riot Games has officially confirmed that the Chronokeeper will be joining the mobile version of League on June 13, 2025. With his signature time-based abilities and game-changing ultimate, Zilean brings a unique strategic layer to Wild Rift that’s bound to shake up the meta as his release date gets closer.
Zilean’s Wild Rift Abilities
(PASSIVE) TIME IN A BOTTLE
Zilean stores time as Experience and can grant it to his allies. When he has enough Experience to finish an ally’s level up, he can right-click them to impart it. Zilean receives as much Experience as he gives.
(Q) TIME BOMB
Tosses a bomb to target area that sticks to units that come near it (prioritizes Champions). It detonates after 3 seconds, dealing area of effect damage. If a Time Bomb is detonated early by another Time Bomb, it also stuns enemies.
(W) REWIND
Zilean can prepare himself for future confrontations, reducing the cooldowns of his other basic abilities.
(E) TIME WARP
Zilean bends time around any unit, decreasing an enemy’s Move Speed or increasing an ally’s Move Speed for a short time.
(R) CHRONOSHIFT
Zilean places a protective time rune on an allied champion, teleporting the champion back in time if they take lethal damage.
How Will Zilean Fit Into the Wild Rift Meta?
Zilean’s utility-over-damage playstyle is perfect for the mobile game’s current tank-heavy support meta. With powerful peel, burst denial, and lane sustain, he could become a top-tier pick in both the dragon lane support role and even as a mid-lane control mage.
Players who master his cooldown timing and bomb placement will find him incredibly rewarding, while his revive ultimate can be the difference-maker in close teamfights.
Zilean Release Date and Availability
Zilean will be released in Wild Rift on June 13, 2025. Players will likely be able to unlock him using Blue Motes, Wild Cores, or through limited-time event missions.
Riot is also expected to release a Blood Moon launch skin or bundle, so keep an eye on the in-game shop for cosmetic additions.
