Arena is already a fan-favorite mode in League of Legends, with low and high ranking players alike testing their luck in the newest addition to the rotating game modes’ roster. While the mode is super fun to play, there’s always a champion or two that causes big trouble in every match. Especially if it’s picked by two or three times. We’ve picked or top champions that you should definitely ban in LoL Arena and why it’s super important to not let them open in any game.
5. Taric
Taric is super powerful in LoL Arena and it’s one that players love to ban in most games. There’s a clear reason for that. Taric shares his powerful abilities with one teammate, which becomes an unbeatable feat in Arena. In late game, his heals and stuns become a huge nuissance. The fact that he is paired excellently with AD ranged and bruiser picks alike, is just the cherry on top.
4. Alistar
Alistar is one of the most played champions in LoL Arena so it’s a no brainer that a player should ban him at all costs. His constant knockbacks when the fire circle begins, along with his ultimate that allows him to tank fights and offer control to his opponent, makes him a menace in 2v2. Mostly, you’ll find Alistar headbutting you out of the ring and then knocking you up as you try to enter back in. Also, his kit works with both AP and tank items, so most Augments work well with him. You shouldn’t want to face that in your future games.
3. Heimerdinger
Even if Heimerdinger isn’t the flashy champion you expect to see in Arena, you shouldn’t underestimate his zone control. Most players match him with Teemo, Zyra or Shaco for zoning and the combo is pretty annoying. To tackle that, ban him and see the other picks fall short as well. You wouldn’t want to get stuck in between his turrets when in Naafiri, Sett or Samira cameos so better let Heimer rest outside of the Arena.
2. Kayle
Kayle is a true goddess in Summoner’s Rift and possibly even more in Arena. Even though she’s pretty weak in the first fights, her ascension mechanic kicks in pretty easily in later stages and most Augments fit her kit perfectly so there are no bad picks in her pocket. Her scaling is godlike in comparison to other melee-ranged champions even without counting her ultimate ability which is one of the best in League of Legends altogether.
1. Kai’Sa
range, kanei poke, ability haste augments einai broken, mporei na kanei reposition
Kai’Sa is the only AD ranged champion you will see in our list and there’s a huge reason for that. Marksmen aren’t as powerful in Arena as they are in Summoner’s Rift with the exception of the Void huntress. She can poke even the tankiest opponers and she can reposition even in the toughest situations. The fact that there are augments in the LoL Arena that can boost her ability haste gives you one more reason to ban her entirely.
The LoL Arena limited game mode will be available in the live servers until August 28th and you have until then to climb the ranks and maybe reach the Top 100 players in your server until then.
