A new expansion is coming to Legends of Runeterra this month, bringing a dark turn to the popular card game, with new champions and a new keyword, Deathless. This expansion, named Fate’s Voyage Beyond, will focus on 3 new champions: Morgana, Mordekaiser, and Mihira as well as a huge chunk of new cards.
The Deathless keyword is something we can’t get to see its value just yet. However, the Legends of Runeterra community is quick to adapt to such new additions so we’re sure we’ll see some crazy combos in the days following the expansion’s release.
Deathless – Legends of Runeterra
Deathless is a new keyword that allows a unit upon death to revive with 1 health but stunned. For the time being, we haven’t seen any of its cards in action to exactly know its extent. However, we do hope that when the units revive, they won’t have the keyword again.
For what it’s worth, it will be pretty powerful as an addition to decks that kill allies, for instance, Mordekaiser. In addition, it will be interesting to see if the Deathless keyword will be added to the pool of randomly contributed keywords much like Fury, Elusive, etc, and whether or not it will count as an evolution keyword for Kai’Sa. At this point, we bet it does.
Riot Games intends to continue teasing cards and mechanics up to the release date of Fate’s Voyage Beyond so we’ll most likely know exactly what we go up against before seeing it in our games for the first time.
Fate’s Voyage Beyond is coming to Legends of Runeterra on December 6th, bringing apart from Morgana, Mordekaiser into the champion roster.
