Remix Rumble for Teamfight Tactics is coming soon and it looks to be one of the best sets so far. Riot Games has gathered all the things we loved about previous sets and is trying to incorporate some of them into the new one. The developer team promises 4 months full of music and expansive team comps. One of the things Riot is bringing back in TFT set 10 is the Chosen mechanic. This time it will be in the form of Headliners. What are the Headliners though?
According to the official dev video, Headliners follow the same mechanic as Chosen from back in set 4. Headliners will appear in the shop as a 2-star unit and can only be purchased once. They are counting as +2 to the highlighted trait. For instance, if you find a Headliner Akali in the shop, with a highlighted K/DA trait, she will be a 2-star and will count as 2 towards the K/DA trait. However, as soon as you field a headliner in set 10, you cannot find another in the shop. This gives you a hard choice to make.
In order for us to understand what it means to field a Headliner, Riot Games offers more info. Where Chosen only counted as +1 to a trait, Headliners will give this unit a buff. For instance, a headliner Bard will stack meeps for better ability casts or Yorick will summon stronger ghouls. It will be interesting to see what all Headliners will have as a buff and which ones will be the best carries for set 10.
Remix Rumble will launch on PBE this week and will officially release on live servers on November 21st. You have until then to continue grinding for the current season, as it’s only two weeks until it leaves us permanently.
