Only a few hours after the announcement of Song of Nunu’s release date, Riot Forge comes forward with yet another announcement. The publisher will be working together with Lazy Bear Games to create a brand new adventure in the world of Runeterra. Bandle Tale: A League of Legends Story is the latest video game by Riot Forge, featuring an adventure into the magical world of Bandle City.
Lazy Bear Games is no rookie when it comes to pixelated video games, with Punch Club and Graveyard Keeper under its belt. The studio has an extreme record of beautiful pixel art, making it a perfect candidate for the next League of Legends adventure. Bandle Tale: A League of Legends Story will feature the same art style that Lazy Bear is known for but with the colorful scheme we all expect from Bandle City.
The game itself looks like an amalgamation of Stardew Valley with an adventure game, featuring crafting, building, and exploring. We’ve caught a glimpse of its gameplay in Riot Forge’s original announcement:

in the trailer, we see many familiar faces. Tristana, Lulu, Teemo, Yuumi, and Veigar are all there. We also saw Corki’s plane and Rumble. The world seems similar to that of games like Stardew Valley, Garden Story, and Moonlighter. However, we expect it to be more about storytelling and less about farming. Although we saw some fishing going on, so grinding for resources isn’t out of the picture.
We still don’t know much about the story of Bandle Tale: A League of Legends Story but Riot Forge will share more as soon as Song of Nunu is out this November. More specifically, the Song of Nunu game will be released on PC and consoles on November 1st, 2023.
