Following in the footsteps that League of Legends has left, Wild Rift is introducing its Icons Global Championship skins later this year, celebrating Nova Esports‘ victory in the tournament. The chinese team won the Icons Championship 2022 with a staggering 4-0 against J Team in last year’s finals. Long was the match’s MVP. The upcoming skins will showcase the players’ favorite champions following the same aesthetic, keeping the Icons trophy in each case.
The 5 champions receiving their Nova Esports skins in Wild Rift later this year are:
- Nasus
- Riven
- Lee Sin
- Lucian
- Morgana
The news comes from SkinSpotlightsWildRift on Youtube, with the individual videos for each skin up already. However, all of them are tagged as incomplete since some of their animations are missing. As a result, there’s no release date for the Nova Esports skins in Wild Rift for the time being.
If we take unconfirmed reports into consideration, the Nova Esports skins for Nasus, Riven, Lee Sin, Lucian and Morgana could be available as soon as update 4.1 releases. Although the full patch notes for 4.1 are not up, we know that it’s releasing with a new ranked season and a Wild Pass.
In related news, Urgot is coming to Wild Rift bringing his Zaunite looks into the mobile game along with his fan-favorite High Noon skin. In addition, two additional skins are releasing:
- Superhero Vi
- Glorious Armada Twisted Fate
Those skins will be a season reward in two different classic parts of Wild Rift. Superhero Vi is a Wild Pass reward while Glorious Armada TF is the new ranked season reward.
