Ornn is one more champion that is coming to Legends of Runeterra really soon and is one that we saw coming. Given the fact that equipment is making its way into the Riot Games card game, it was only natural for Ornn to join the champion roster too.
In his gameplay trailer, Ornn shows the real power of equipment in Legends of Runeterra. Using his Forge ability card, he gives other units +1/+1 and, if they are equipped the equipment gets another +1/+1. In addition, gets a piece of free equipment when he comes in play and he reforges himself twice when he attacks. This mechanic makes him a buffy unit in play that can reach high stats with minimum effort.
It will be interesting to see if what champions Ornn will partner with in decks in Legends of Runeterra. Jax can be a viable choice while players will find even more decks to comp him with like Riven or Pantheon. It will be interesting to see how the meta will shift in the upcoming days after the new cards arrive.
