League of Legends players that have been “investing” in Prime Gaming during 2022 for their skin and RP needs found themselves wondering what happened to their February Prime Gaming Capsule. Up until now, we knew that the capsule would always be available at the start of the month, and, even without redeeming any of the other freebies for other games or the free Twitch subscription, we were completely content with the rewards we get in Riot’s games. Finally, the League of Legends February Prime Gaming Capsule is now available and it includes:
Item(s) included:
- 350 RP
- 5 Mythic Essence
- 200 Orange Essence
- (1) Unowned 1350 RP Skin Permanent
- (5) Champion Shards
- (2) Series 1 Eternals Shards
- XP Boost: 30-Day
However, getting this month’s Prime Gaming capsule doesn’t mean that it stays forever. According to Riot Meddler, this partnership with Amazon was set for 2022 so no plans for 2023 were set in advance. The team is currently in talks with Amazon for its continuation although it might not be in the state we were used to. He says:
“Our original partnership with Amazon was just for 2022. We have, however, been talking with them about a potential 2023 version. In the short term, while those conversations are ongoing, we’re going to do a February capsule drop that’s the same as last year’s.
In the long term, we’re still figuring out whether something’s possible and if so what it might look like (though it’s unlikely to be the same as the 2022 version). We’ll share the new details with you as soon as we’ve got something concrete.”
If and when this happens we’ll keep you posted. Until then, for more news about League of Legends, Teamfight Tactics, Valorant, Legends of Runeterra, updates, and upcoming events, stay tuned to The Rift Crown.
