The latest dev blog for League of Legends is live early and contains news about the return of Blue Essence Store, which will be in late August. According to the announcement, the Essence Emporium will make its return in update 13.17 which will be release to live servers in late August, possibly on the 30th.
The Blue Essence Store
Alongside the exciting news, we find out that the Blue Essence Store will be back twice a year from then on. We don’t know yet what type of store it will be. For what it’s worth, we hope that a whole lot of chromas will be in there as always. The dev team has introduced changes to the store, possibly adding more products to purchase other than chromas. However, nothing is set in stone yet.
Thanks to the chinese League of Legends website, we find the news early, since the dev blog is not yet available for western regions. It’s a matter of time before we too will be able to see the video for our respective regions and know for sure what the future of Essence Emporium is.
More features
In addition to the store, Riot Games intends to bring a mass dissenchant feature to League of Legends. This will allow players to select and dissenchant multiple champions, icons, emotes etc without having to do it 1 by 1. This is, ultimately, one of the best quality of life updates we get for the League client in quite some time.
Since we cannot see the official video yet, take the news with a grain of salt. Whether or not the Blue Essence Store will become available in late August, we’ll need to wait to know for sure.
