Riot Games seems to be having a hard time figuring out Jinx’s role and power in League of Legends. The balancing team has previously nerfed Jinx quite aggressively in order to minimize her late-game threat. However, this made her a bad early-game marksman, giving her a dive in pick rate. Now, the team is introducing a big buff to her passive, as Jinx “getting excited” gives her stacking Attack Speed. In addition, her ultimate ability is getting a buff in its cooldown, making its 3rd upgrade a 40-second cooldown timer.

Super Mega Death Rocket! Ultimate
Jinx fires a rocket that explodes on the first enemy champion hit, dealing 32 = (30+15% bonus) to 316 = (300+150% bonus)+25% missing Health physical damage, gaining damage over the first second of travel time. Nearby enemies take 80 Damage. Missing Health damage cannot exceed 1200 against Monsters.
- Minimum Health – 30/45/60
- Maximum Health – 300/450/600
- Percent Missing Health – 25% / 30% / 35%
- Damage Cooldown – 70/55/40
Get Excited!
Whenever a champion, epic monster, or structure that Jinx has dealt damage to within the last 3 seconds is killed or destroyed, she gains 175 Decaying Move Speed and 25% stacking Attack Speed for 6 seconds. While excited Jinx can exceed the Attack Speed cap.
We don’t know if Jinx’s buffs will be fully tested before the update 13.20 so that we can check her out as soon as the new update releases. However, whether it’s one or two patches, we hope we see the change reaching the live servers so that she can get back her spot on the throne.
