Fate’s Voyage: Onward, the next expansion for Legends of Runeterra is releasing in 3 days, bring us new cards and new champions. Also, new adventures will be coming for the Path of Champions. We’ve already seen Nilah, the first champion to be revealed for the expansion. Now, we take a look at Janna, the second champion coming to Legends of Runeterra.
Janna is using the Updraft mechanic for her card, which allows you to shuffle a card into your deck and reduce its cost by 1. This gives her extreme value in decks using high-cost units or spells. Each round, she also reduces the cost of cards you draw, which makes her a great combo with Nilah.
Before we check out Janna’s upgraded card effects, it’s important to take a look at her upgraded looks. This is something we’ve never seen before and makes us think of what she could be in League of Legends.
When upgraded, Janna draws an additional card, and whenever you draw a card you reduce its cost by 1 this round. This effect alone makes her an insanely powerful filler champion for decks that use high-cost champions or play many cards in a round.
Remember that apart from Janna, Nilah is also coming to Legends of Runeterra on September 13, while there are more cards releasing at that time. The card reveals are far from over just yet so stay tuned for more news on Fate’s Voyage: Onward.
