A new rumor started circulating the internet today as footage of an alleged Wild Rift 2v2v2v2 Arena mode emerges. If the video is to be believed then 4 teams of 2 players will be pit against each other in a circular arena. This is a very different arena from the one we saw for League of Legends. However, it will be interesting to see how having 6 opponents and only 1 teammate would look like in action.
The footage of the Wild Rift 2v2v2v2 Arena comes from a chinese content creator with glimpses of the champion selection, gameplay and the store as well. Wiccano Arena X on Twitter claims that the mode will launch on patch 4.4.

If the rumor is to be believed then the 2v2v2v2 mode in Wild Rift should be launching in patch 4.4. This patch releases on October 24th and will see the release of new champions as well. For what it’s worth, you should take this rumor with a grain of salt as nothing is set in stone just yet.
More Wild Rift rumors want Zyra, Fiddlesticks, and Sivir to be coming during the 4.4 update. In the mobile, LoL title, patches spread across several months with small updates spanning throughout the patch period. In patch 4.3, for instance, we saw the release of Nilah, Hecarim, and Vladimir, a few weeks apart from one release to another.
As for the 2v2v2v2 Arena mode, it’s still too soon to say if the rumors are true. Although fans would want yet another limited game mode to be released and the mobile moba is the perfect environment for that, we should wait for the official confirmation to start preparing our strategies.
