The Worlds 2023 cinematic trailer called “The Grind – The Glory” is available for all Esports fans. It features some of the most iconic players the grand League of Legends stage has seen. Focusing on the struggle players face in becoming champions, the new Worlds cinematic is an ode to failures and how we cope with them.
Taking us through the LPL, the LCK, the LEC and the LCS, the new cinematic shows “The Grind” of the top LoL esports teams as they try to reach the Worlds stage. It all comes down to “The Glory” of becoming the champion. The Worlds 2023 tagline “The Grind – The Glory” used in the cinematic trailer hits home now more than ever. 2022 was the year of Cinderellas. DRX, our previous champion took the world by storm after reaching the grand finals through the play-ins and taking down the T1 powerhouse.
Worlds 2023 starts on October 9th with the Worlds Qualifying series between Team BDS and Golden Guardians. From then on, we get the Play-In series that will span across several days. During those days we’ll know which teams will move on to the Swiss Stage.
Note that tomorrow, the Worlds 2023 Anthem will be released by Riot Games Music with a performance by New Jeans. The cinematic features Deft, as one of the previous champions. We can’t wait to see what more is there in store for us. New Jeans is a KPop group with quite a few hits worldwide. Let’s see if they are ready to open up in the world of eSports and set the bar for more to come. We know we want more Kpop after the release of K/DA.
2️⃣ DAYS until the #Worlds2023 anthem
