The regional closed beta for League of Legends Wild Rift is coming to an end as Riot Games announces. The next step in the game’s testing is an open beta in those preselect regions as well as a big region expansion in December. The League of Legends Wild Rift open beta will be at its climax during the winter holidays with NA getting their ticket to opt in during Spring 2021.
League of Legends Wild Rift Open Beta Regions
The announcement about the League of Legends Wild Rift open beta comes from the game’s official website. According to it, the preselect regions that participate in the closed beta right now will be joining the open beta along with new regions. Here’s the full list of countries available right now:
- Indonesia
- Japan
- Malaysia
- Philippines
- Singapore
- South Korea
- Thailand
- Brunei
- Cambodia
- Laos
- Myanmar
- Timor-Leste
Next Region Wave
During December the open beta will stretch out even more, with Oceania, Russia, Europe and more joining the LoL community through their mobile phones. Those regions are:
- Europe
- Middle East
- North Africa
- Oceania
- Russia
- Taiwan
- Turkey
- Vietnam
North America will join the mobile game during the third wave of region expansions in Spring 2021. This comes as a surprise since NA is a respectable region for League of Legends. However, the wait will be worth it.
Apart from that huge announcement, Riot Game confirms that 6 more champions will be joining the Wild Rift champion roster. Those are Akali, Darius, Draven, Evelynn, Kai’Sa and Seraphine. It’s interesting that Seraphine is already coming to the mobile game while so many previous champions are still dormant. However, the fact that Riot has the intention to add K/DA to the game makes the decision even more resonable.
The Wild Rift open beta starts on October 27th for iOS and Android. This comes as a huge surprise since only a few players manage to play the game on iPhone devices. Stay tuned for more Wild Rift news in the weeks to come.
