A weird issue has surfaced today after the release of update 4.4 in Wild Rift, getting players stuck on 100% completion of the update’s download on Google Play and you might be looking for a fix. If you have encountered this issue too, take a look below at some things you might want to try.
Ways to Fix Wild Rift Update Install Stuck on 100% on Google Play
Turn your phone off and on again
Some people have noticed that turning your smartphone off and then on again fixes the issue. However, this isn’t the case for all users. For what it’s worth, this is the easiest fix of all those in our list, so you should start from there.
Update Google Play
If your Google Play isn’t updated to its latest version, you might get stuck on installations, not only on Wild Rift but any application. Go to your Google Play application and click on your profile image. From there, go to Settings. On the bottom of the screen, you will find the About section. Click it and, on the Play Store Version, click Update Play Store.
Clear Google Play Cache
If the previous fixes did not work, you can try clearing the cache out of Google Play. To do that, navigate to your app directory, find Google Play and you will see a clear cache button somewhere, depending on your smartphone manufacturer. Click it and try updating Wild Rift again.
Reinstall Wild Rift
Most players notice that uninstalling and reinstalling Wild Rift is the safest way to fix the Update Install Stuck at 100%. It’s true that it’s way too time-consuming for mobile data. However, if you have WiFi available, make sure to try this first since you will be spared of additional hurdles.
Riot Games’ Response
Riot Games seems to be aware of this Wild Rift issue, prompting players to uninstall their previous version of the game before updating. More specifically, the official statement says:
Patcher Problems
If you’re having trouble patching, try uninstalling your previous version before updating to 4.4.
