The EMEA Masters 2023 Play-Ins are officially over and 4 teams managed to get out of the Main event waiting room and straight into the big league. Keeping true to the intensity that the newly added regions to the tournament, the Main Event groups for the EMEA Masters 2023 are now determined and the games start on August 21st, leading up to a big final in Montpellier alongside the LEC Season Finals.
The 4 teams making it out of Play-Ins and into the Main Event are:
- GTZ Esports
- Dsyre Esports
- Anorthosis Famagusta Esports
- Team GO
GTZ Esports showed complete dominance during the Play-ins stage, by finishing first in their group. No Portuguese team managed what GTZ did this season, so a huge congratulations is in awe. Dsyre Esports is yet another underdog that took down the TCL giant FUT, which went from a 6-0 in groups to a 0-2 in the knockout stage by Dsyre.
As for Anorthosis Famagusta Esports, the GLL team showed why the region should claim its Main Event back by getting out of play-ins once more in an emphatic manner. Last but not least, Team GO won against WLG in what seemed like a banger series in their first game.
